Superhero of the Week: Emma Page

Superhero of the Week: Emma Page

This week we are pleased to announce Emma Page, a Senior at Whitnall High School, as our Superhero of the Week!

Emma strives to be the best she can be and accomplish all she can and more. She has been a high honors student throughout her high school years and is a member of the National Honor Society, has taken 5 AP classes, holds a 3.962 GPA, and is in the top 5% of her class! Active inside and outside of the classroom, she uses her free time to volunteer, do extracurriculars, and mentor others.

She has been involved in several clubs throughout school such as the DECA, Student Council, the Honors Program, National Honor Society, and the Leo Club. Emma also served as the VP of Communications for DECA her Junior year and is the President of DECA this year. She is proud of all that DECA has accomplished this year, most notably raising a record-breaking $30,000 worth of food and money donated to the Hunger Task Force!

An athlete as well, Emma has been playing basketball since the 4th grade. Playing on the varsity team and a captain this year, she and her team won the Woodland East Conference! Also a track and field athlete, she has competed in running events and hurdles in the past, but eventually found her passion in throwing. The girl's team won their conference last year and is looking forward to what this season will hold. She has been to regionals every year, sectionals one year, and hopes to make it to state for discus. Breaking her record every season, she is currently 10' off from the school record of 115' set in 2018.

Though she hasn't chosen which school she will attend in the fall, she has several to choose from including some direct admit programs for physical therapy. She has chosen to pursue a major in Exercise Science and intends to get her doctorate in physical therapy. Having dealt with sports injuries herself, Emma can sympathize and relate to the patients she will treat one day. Ultimately, she wants to become a physical therapist and hopes to open her own practice.

Join us in celebrating Emma as our Superhero of the Week! You can hear her story on The Varsity Blitz show this Saturday at 10:00 am on The Big 920 and your iHeart radio app!
